From the Desk of Mr. Ruedinger
Hello CCA Parents,
There is no school tomorrow, Friday, February 14th due to a Archdiocesan-wide teacher in-service day and no school on Monday, February 17th.
The K of C #722 Knowledge Contest was held on Saturday, February 1. Congratulations to Chase Bohman, who tied for second place for grade 6 math and Peter Gerrits, who finished second place for grade 8 math and third place for grade 8 spelling. Great job!
Congratulations to the 7/8th Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball Teams, who both have been invited to participate in the prestigious Padre Serra Basketball Tournament at Marquette University High School in Milwaukee during the month of March. More information will follow when the tournament brackets are completed.
Winter Extravaganza is Feb. 22nd! That is next weekend and if you have not already registered to attend, please do so asap and also remember that there is an Entertainment Only option for $15.00 per person if that suits you better. We welcome everyone to attend this wonderful evening.
Dress Code Reminders: Students in ALL grades who choose to wear Yoga pants or leggings must also wear a shirt that covers the buttock region. If you choose to wear leggings to Mass under a skirt, these leggings must be of a solid color. Thank you for following our CCA Dress Code.

Standards Based Grading
During this school year, Christ Child Academy will be transitioning from a traditional grading system to standards based grading system, which will go into effect for the 2020-2021 school year. The Archdiocese of Milwaukee has strongly recommended that all schools move to this reporting framework.
As we proceed through this transition over the next year, please know that our goal of academic excellence remains our priority. These "best practices" will enable parents to fully understand where their child is academically while at the same time motivating students to become life-learners.
The Parenting Guide to Standards Based Grading will provide valuable insight during this transition. Additional information will be coming in the following weeks.
