Traffic and Safety
There are concerns about traffic safety, especially at pick up times. Please be sure to follow all traffic rules. Please do not double park on Channel Islands. Please remind students to cross the street only at the crosswalk. We want to all be good examples of safety, kindness and courtesy for our children. Thank you!
Disaster Preparedness
Hollywood Beach School is concerned about the safety and welfare of our children, especially in the event of a natural disaster or lock down. Comfort Kits are a special way to help students feel safe if there was an emergency that required students to be at school for an extended period of time. The kits can include a snack such as snack foods, small boxes or cans of juice, and a picture of the family. All of these items should be able to fit in a one-gallon zip lock bag. If you have not already done so, please bring a kit for your child that will be stored in the classroom. If it is unused, it will be returned at the end of the school year. If you would like to donate extra comfort kits to the school, they can be used by students who may not have brought a comfort kit. Donations of cases of bottled water would be appreciated to be stored in the classrooms in case there was a lock down or other emergency. Thank you for helping our students be safe and prepared!
