Weathering
The chemical and physical processes that break down rocks at the Earth's surface.
Mechanical Weathering
This picture is showing mechanical weathering with water because the water is slowly breaking down the rock. (Cliff)
Physical Weathering
Physical and mechanical weathering basically mean the same thing. You can see the cracks in the rock which is telling you that weathering happened one point here.
Chemical Weathering
This picture is showing chemical weathering because of oxidation. (A chemical change in which a substance combines with oxygen, like when iron oxidizes forming rust).
Erosion
The process by which wind, water, ice, or gravity transports soil and sediment from one location to another.
Wind Erosion
The tornado is moving rock to a new location which proves that it is Wind Erosion. Come watch the tornado but only with your eyes. Don't get to close, you never know what will happen...
Water Erosion
As the water flows, it is taking some rocks with it to the oceans mouth. When the rocks move, it shows water erosion. Come over with some friends and let the water erode you!
Gravitational Erosion
The gravity is pulling the rocks downward and moving it to a knew location. This shows that gravitational erosion is in action! Come and feel the vibration as the avalanche falls!
Deposition
The laying down of sediment that has been transported by a medium such as wind, water, or ice.
Wind Deposition
The wind is now setting down the wind which shows that it is wind deposition. Come on over and play in the sand while feeling the brush of wind on your face!
Ice Erosion
Even though it rarely snows here, you can still see the deposition as the snow is being lied. Come throw snow balls with your buds and make snow men!
Water Deposition
The water is being set down which means that water deposition is occurring. Come enjoy the nice cool rain after a long hot day!
