Assignment Charrette
BADGE: Evidence-Based Teaching
You'll submit an assignment from your course and work with a small group in short rotations to read and respond to each others' assignment descriptions and grading criteria. This is a great source of ideas and inspiration for the new semester!

Brain-Based Learning: Isn't All Learning Brain-Based?
- How can we as faculty use neuroscience to enhance student learning?
- How do the brains of faculty and students differ?
- What brain-based learning strategies might I add to my classroom to help facilitate deeper learning?
Come explore Joshua Eyler's "How Humans Learn: The Science and Stories behind Effective College Teaching" in this Chancellor's Learning Scholar FLC. All faculty are welcome and the text will be provided free of charge. Limited to 10 participants.
Meetings will be held on the Armstrong campus the following Fridays at noon:
January 24, February 7 & 21, March 13 & 27, and April 10 & 24.

Each group creates and submits required IRB human research paperwork at the end of the first semester. In the second semester of the FLC, participants collect and analyze project data.
Participants must be willing to commit to 6 spring meetings and 3 fall meetings. All participants will receive a copy of Engaging in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (Bishop-Clark and Dietz-Uhler, 2012). Applicants will be notified of acceptance into the FLC one week prior to the first meeting.
The following meetings are Tuesdays at 11 AM in Cone Hall 2029 (Statesboro) & Solms 207 (Armstrong):
