Crosby Senior Academy
Crosby Scholar seniors are required to attend two Crosby Senior Academies (CSA) offered throughout the school year. A different topic is discussed at each CSA. Online registration is required through the Crosby Scholars Student Portal. Academies began in July and will be held through December 2018. The final schedule is posted on the Crosby Scholars Senior Academy Page.
August Academy Opportunities:
- CSA #9A College Application Lab will be held on August 2nd from 10:00-11:00am; CSA #9B will be held on August 2nd from 11:15am-12:15am; CSA #9C will be held on August 2nd from 12:30-1:30pm; CSA #9D will be held onAugust 14th from 1:30-2:30pm; CSA #9E will be held on August 14th from2:45-3:45pm; CSA #9F will be held on August 14th from 4:00-5:00pm
- CSA #10A SAT Prep: Math will be held on August 7th from 9:30-11:30am.
- CSA #11 Writing the College Admissions Essay will be held on August 20th from 2:00-3:30pm.
- CSA #10B SAT Prep: Critical Reading and Writing will be held on August 21st from 6:00-8:00pm
CSA #6 Financial Basics for High School and Beyond is an online, self-paced Crosby Senior Academy through CFNC's Financial Basics for High School and Beyond. Deadline August 31, 2018. CLICK HERE FOR INSTRUCTIONS
Colleges That Change Lives - Chapel Hill Fair

The program begins promptly at 7:00 PM with a 30-minute information session. A college fair follows immediately afterwards, lasting approximately 1.5 hours. This program is offered to the public free of charge. Crosby Scholars can receive college fair/college visit credit for attending this event and speaking with four college admission reps.

Simply submit your community service form directly to our office by 5pm on August 31 verifying your participation in at least 2 hours of community service, and you may be one of the lucky winners selected. All active returning scholars who have submitted an approved community service form by August 31 will be included in this contest.

Each Crosby Scholar must complete at least 2 hours of community service each school year. (Two hours are required, although five hours are recommended for high school students.) Follow the guidelines outlined in your Crosby Scholars student portal.
Submitting your form is easy!
1. You may upload your form to your Crosby Scholars Student Portal on the My Documents page which is the dropdown of the My Crosby page. You will see a field for 2018-19 community service form.
2. You may take a picture of your form and e-mail it to seniorprogram@crosbyscholars.org.

5. You may drop it off at our office.

All active returning middle and high school scholars are eligible. Forms must be received in our office by 5pm on August 31 to be included in this contest. Although you are welcome to submit your form at school, this does not guarantee that we will receive your form in our office by the contest deadline of 5pm on August 31. To enter the contest, you will want to submit your form directly to our office.

Parent Portal Possibilities
Parents can monitor their senior’s Crosby Scholars Student Portal, view announcements and events, and confirm if their senior has fulfilled each program requirement by logging into their parent portal. If you need assistance accessing your Crosby Scholars Parent Portal, call our office at 725.5371.
Only students who complete the Crosby Scholars Senior Program are eligible to apply for Last Dollar Grants and Crosby scholarships.
