-A Bird's Eye View-
May 13, 2019
Your Tweetcher for the week of 5/6 was......Brad Stone
Brad's students recently had the opportunity to travel to Hamilton's Detailing to learn the art of car detailing. Brad got some great pictures of his students learning from one of our community partners, and we were able to share these on social media.
Our community loves to see ways that we are teaming up with others to provide new learning opportunities for our students.
Your Tweetcher for the week of 5/13 is......Dawna Bybee
As a special education teacher, Dawna has done a great job this year of remembering that we must be very cautious of using social media to showcase the work that is going on in our special education classrooms.
There have been several times throughout the year that Dawna has emailed pictures of field trips or projects her special education students have taken part in. When sharing these pictures and information on our district social media outlets, we never identify these students as "Mrs.' Bybee's students", we only state that they are CHS students. If we were to identify them on social media as students in Mrs. Bybee's classroom, it wouldn't be difficult for others to figure out that they are special education students.
Way to go Dawna for finding ways we can highlight the great work that is going on in your classroom without breaking confidentiality!
*NEW WEBSITE-The district's new website is tentatively set to "go-live" next Tuesday, May 21st. At the same time, the current website will become unavailable and all current content will be inaccessible.
If you have anything on the current website (teacher page, activity page, sports page, etc.) that you will want to keep, you will need to copy and save all images, photos, text and links to another document. Once again, once we go live with the new websites on May 21st, all content will not be accessible.
If you will want a "teacher page" on your teacher profile on the new website, we encourage you to create one through "Google Sites". This can then easily be linked to your teacher profile for parents and students to access. If you will be creating a teacher page through Google Sites, this is something that you can do over the summer....please don't feel you need to get it done before the last day of school.

*Tell us what you do in the CSD, how long you have been here and why you enjoy being a Cardinal.
Once a Cardinal...Always a Cardinal! I am very proud to be a Clinton Cardinal Alumni (Class of 1988) and I love teaching in my hometown. My teaching career started at Southeast Elementary (Henry) for 10 years teaching 2nd and 3rd grade. After taking 2 years off for the adoption of our first child, I returned to teaching at CMS. I worked part-time for 5 years in 8th grade history and then returned full-time as 8th grade history and ISS. Currently, I am teaching 8th grade history and celebrating year 25 in the district.
*Tell us a little bit about your family/where you are from.
Mike (CHS Class of 1988 alumni) and I are blessed with three wonderful children. Mike is a chiropractor and has been in practice in Clinton for 24 years. Lydia is a junior at CHS, Phillip is an 8th grader at CMS and Audrey is in 1st grade at Henry Elementary. We also have hosted exchange students from Italy and Germany through AFS. We are excited to host again in August 2019 as an exchange daughter from Norway joins our family. Our motto...Some call it CHAOS...we call it FAMILY!
*Best vacation you've been on and why?
Anywhere with sun, sand, adventure, great food, family and friends! It's not the vacation spot...it's the memories made that are most important to me.
*Favorite, can't-miss television show?
I'm not a huge fan of TV - no favorite show. I do enjoy a little reality TV to add humor to life.
*Describe yourself in 3 words.
Organized
Compassionate
Dedicated
*What are 3 things people would be surprised to know about you?
I have never had a broken bone or speeding ticket.
I hate to cook, but love to clean.
I have touched the hand of Jon Bovi.
