WW Middle School Library
Fall 2019
Greetings!
My name is Tamara Richman and I have the privilege to be the new Woodrow Wilson Media Specialist/Librarian. I have been a librarian for almost 20 years and I have been absolutely blown away the enthusiasm, positive energy, and intelligence displayed by WW students.
For those of you who may be wondering what role our library will play in your student's life, here's a quick (but not comprehensive) list of library activities.
- Book Check Out (During homeroom, lunchtimes, and by teacher arrangement)
- Digital and Information Literacy Lessons including Fair Use and Balancing Digital Media in our Lives
- Makerspace.
- Library Club and Library Leaders
- and much, much more!
Books Needed for Library
If you have hardcover children's' books in great condition, we would love to give them a new home. Please send them in with your student to the library. Top titles needed:
- Diary of a Wimpy Kid
- Dork Diaries
- Graphic Novels
- Books featuring diverse characters and cultures
Looking for Great Reads for your Child?
If you are looking for a great book for your student, check out this list from Common Sense Media, https://bit.ly/1H04Y54. Remember any book your child wants to read is a great book!
Have you visited a library lately?
Children do as we do, so make going to the library a regular part of your family routine. Visit the Edison Public Library and get your free cards. Don't forget to download the Libby app on your devices to get E-books and audio books!
