Where the Adventure Begins...
Happy Friday!
We are so THANKFUL for so many things!!
Did you get a chance to attend the Frisco Community Parade this past Saturday! We had a group going through who did a wonderful job! We hope to increase our participation each year. I think for our first year to participate, our group did an awesome job! Enjoy some pictures from the day below!
Were you able to come to our Math & Literacy Night!? We are so thankful for all of you who did. We had about 150 families attend. It was a wonderful turnout and we hope you walked away with some quick, easy activities you can do with your children at home.
I want to also thank all of our families who donated to our One and Done annual fundraiser. We were able to raise a little over $7400 for our school. We will be using the money to purchase books and material that all the teachers need to better support your child's learning. Thank you to those who participated!
Most of all, I just want to say thank you for sharing your sweet children with us! We take the responsibility of caring for them very seriously. And our goal is for you to be amazed at the growth you see from them during their time they are with us. It truly is an honor to partner with you! I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Break and that you get to enjoy lots of great time with family and friends.

We Want You!
We are hoping to have some parents volunteer about 20 minutes of their time to help us at our two arrival times each day. Having the extra hands to open doors and helps students out of the cars would definitely speed up our carpool lanes!
If you would consider helping us out, just click this link. It will take you to a Google Form with all the details and you can submit your interest. Thank you for considering!

I Want to Hear From You!!
Many of you have posted comments, suggestions or questions on my Parent Padlet. Thank you! It is one of the ways for me to stay connected with you and allows other parents to see your questions. You never know when someone else is wondering the same thing. The cool thing is that it is completely anonymous! So post away and I will be sure to respond.

Thanksgiving is around the corner and is an important holiday in American history. It is a wonderful opportunity to appreciate what we have and give thanks. Gratitude is something that can create solutions and can change our mindset. It encourages social behavior. This means that when a person has had a positive experience, they will likely want to reciprocate positive actions to others.
Whether your family celebrates Thanksgiving or not, it’s a good idea to teach gratitude to children at a young age. In a culture where everything is readily available with a click---shopping, researching information, and donating to a cause--- it may seem difficult for children to understand gratitude. However, it’s important to know that gratitude helps them to develop skills like optimism, resilience, and problem solving. So, not only does this make for a great student, but builds skills needed in the workforce. Teaching gratitude can be as simple as writing a thank you note or helping to take care of a plant or a pet. And of course, another tradition that can be passed down from one generation to the next is to go around the dinner table and each person can share for what they are thankful.
