Illuminating the Himalayan Heritage

7 villages, 18 solar grids, 800 LED lights and over a thousand lives impacted

2015 has been a pivotal year for us. The journey that began in 2013 with a bunch of 25 people from across the globe but with a common long term vision of developing remote mountain regions in a sustainable manner seems to have gathered momentum now - New Records, International and National Recognition, successful implementation of latest technological solutions to electrify 8 Ladakhi remote villages, Establishment of Robotics Lab in Third Pole E- Base, 15 home stays to generate income for villagers and provide altogether a different experience to trekkers who wish to experience Ladakh in its most traditional form, expansion of GHE community, more smiles, more lifetime experiences..

Electric Bike to reach the World's Highest Motorable Road

Promoting Clean Technology at 12000ft., GHE launched first Solar charged E-bikes in Leh on 13th September 2015 as part of its Green energy Initiative. We created a World Record. First Electric - Bike to reach the World's Highest Motorable Road, unassisted and charged through renewable energy.
