Early Life

Roald Dahl was born September 13th, 1916 in llandaff wales UK. He had three sisters Astri, Radyr, and Asta. Astri was the oldest of the kids but not far behind her came Roald then Radyr and Asta . Roald was the oldest but he still had a thought life, when he was only 4 his father and one of his sisters died. By the time he was 13 he had already moved 3 times!

Later Life

When Roald started working, he worked in the oil business, for shell, it even took him places like Dar-es-Salaam in 1938. Then in the mits off World War Two he quit his job at shell and joined the Royal Air Force (RAF) in 1939, but only a year later in !940 he was moved to lybia then involved in a plane crash, during his crash he suffered severe trauma to the head, back, and nose. miraculously we was able to rejoin his squadron in Greece only a year later, and returns the Britain.

Writing Life

Roald completed his first paid writing a year after he returns to Britain in 1942. Shortly after that he starts to work on the gremlins, and his first short story was published. Once he started to become well know he met his wife Patricia Neal and was fast to marry her and buy a cottage in White Field , Great Missenden, and have three kids.

Roald Dahl has had many stores with would later become household names, such as

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Fantastic Mr. Fox, James and the Giant Peach, and many many more.


Roald Dalh was a very famous author who has influenced the life of many children with his amazing books. He lived a rough life with many loses and moving a lot, but in the end he was one of the worlds most well known author.
