STEM MakerSpace

The STEM MakerSpace is looking to continue working on the STEM Tiny House in the coming year. To help make this happen we are seeking donations of building materials to aid in the construction. We need window, doors, siding, 2X4s, wiring, flooring, plumbing, and sheetrock as well as solar components. Please contact Stephen.Routh@sccpss.com if you have any items, you would be interested in donating.

Rising 7th Grade Immunizations Reminder

Attention Parents of Rising 7th graders:

This is a reminder that your student is in the need of additional immunizations before beginning 7th grade in Georgia, regardless if learning in person or virtually. The Georgia Registry of Immunization Transactions and Services indicates your student has not received these mandatory immunizations as of today and the immunization record expires 07-01-21. Please make your child's appointment with his/her health care provider or visit the DPH/other medical clinic as soon as possible; facilities will be exceedingly busy as the summer progresses, especially due to fewer appointment slots to facilitate social distancing and may not be able to accommodate your child on short notice.

After receiving the vaccinations, please request a copy of FORM 3231 from the health care provider and assure both boxes at the top right corner of the page have an "X", confirming your child's immunization record is "Complete For K through 6th grade" and " Complete For 7th through 10th Grade ". Please submit a copy of Form 3231 to me, either as an attachment in an email or if your student is currently in Cohort A or B (in person learning), he/she can bring it to the Nurse's Office. If your child is not immunization compliant, regardless if learning in-person or virtually, he/she will need to be withdrawn from school, per Georgia law.

Please contact me with any questions or concerns.

Gratefully,

"Nurse Donna"

Dress Code Reminder for In-Person Students

Hoodies that can't zip open are not allowed at any time. All jackets must be able to be worn open while in the building. No ripped/torn jeans/pants should be worn on campus. Bookbags should be clear and/or mesh.

iPad Management

The management system for iPads in our district is experiencing some technical difficulties. Students may encounter problems downloading apps onto their school iPads. Also, some iPads may not be able to properly enroll at the startup screen. The district tech office is aware of these problems and are working to resolve them. Thank you for your patience. Please contact mary.peacock@sccpss.com for more information.
