Asbury Elementary Family Connection
A Weekly Newsletter for Asbury Families
August 25, 2021
Masks are mandatory for all students, pre-K through
12th grade, both in the building and on the bus.
Arrival & Dismissal
For Arrival:
- Do not drop your student off earlier than 8:40. Students are not allowed in the building until 8:45.
- Cars can use the bus loop, but must be in the lane closest to the street.
- Wait for a staff member to open your car door. This is for safety reasons!
- If possible, have your child exit on the passenger side of your car.
- Make sure your child is ready to exit the vehicle. If not, please do not use the loop.
For Dismissal:
- If you have a change in how your child is getting home, please call or contact your child's teacher BEFORE 3:00pm. It is extremely difficult to make changes while we are dismissing.
- Cars are NOT permitted in the bus loop during dismissal. You may park on the street or in the lot next to the school.
- Walkers & parent pick ups are dismissed starting at 3:35.
- Please be patient with busses. They may run late depending on traffic.
Get connected!
The easiest way to reach your child's teacher is through ClassDojo. Each teacher sent home codes to get connected to this FREE app. If you do not have a code, please let the teacher know.
FinalForms
All students must have updated forms on file. This includes forms such as medical, emergency contacts, chromebook agreements, and basic information. This is all done through FinalForms. Please make sure that these get completed as soon as possible. FinalForms notifications are sent to the e-mail we have on file. If you are not receiving these notifications, please contact the office. If at any point you need to update your child's information, please do that through FinalForms. The link to access FinalForms can also be found here.
Breakfast & Lunch
This year, all students will receive a free breakfast and free lunch. Parents are still encouraged to fill out the Free or Reduced- Price Lunch Application form in order to see if they are eligible to receive a P-EBT State funded card. Information on these programs can be found here.
