Principal's Message
Dear families,
Right before Thanksgiving, seven students were honored and recognized at school for being chosen as leaders for the month of October. Each of the students was nominated by a staff member for demonstrating one of the seven habits described in the book, The Leader in Me, by Steven R. Covey and in the series of books titled, The 7 Habits of Happy Kids, by Sean Covey. Each student demonstrated what a highly effective leader looks like. Students were given a leadership T-shirt and a certificate. Congratulations to Tenley G., Ryan S., Wesley D., Olivia L., Joey S., Scarlett M., and Fawziyah J. We’re thankful for these great leaders!
Thank you families for taking advantage of our PTO’s Virtual Book Fair and AR Workshop fundraising opportunity; so many firsts this year for everyone. We all appreciate you!

Attendance Check-In
Parents of students in grades K-4 must mark their student "present" on virtual days. Parents can check in their student at any time during the virtual day. This can be done through your Parent Portal on Infinite Campus. Remember to complete this Check-In process for all your students each day they are attending school virtually. Below are instructions on how to log your student in as well as an instructional video.

Failure to check your student in daily could result in attendance letters that lead to physician’s notes being required for verification and possibly being referred to an Absence Intervention Team. If you have questions regarding attendance check-in please contact the office at 614-548-1400.
Fee Reminder
Each year the district assesses a fee to all students for supplies and consumable materials. The deadline for paying fees is November 20, 2020. To make a payment, log in to your Parent Portal on Infinite Campus. You may also send a check to school with your student made payable to Pickerington Local Schools or PLSD. To ensure proper posting, please reference your student's name and student ID. If school fees are not paid, it will result in grades and transcripts being held until payment is received.
Fees for each grade level are:
Kindergarten - $19.00
First Grade - $17.00
Second Grade - $17.50
Third Grade - $22.00
Fourth Grade - $23.50
If you have questions regarding fees, please contact Pickerington Elementary at 614-548-1400 or call the Treasurer's Office at 614-833-2110.
