Warren Woods Middle School
8th Grade End of Year Events
On Thursday, June 11 we will have the Awards Ceremony at 1:45 pm in the Auditorium. We try to recognize as many students as possible, however, not all students receive an award. This is not a graduation ceremony, we do not have a graduation ceremony.
The evening of June 11 is the 8th grade Dance. It will be from 7-9 pm. Tickets are still on sale of $8.00 during lunch. We would love to see as many 8th graders in attendance.
On Monday, June 15 many of the 8th graders will be attending the Cedar Point field trip. If your student has not signed up for the trip, unfortunately it is too late but we will see them at school on Monday, June 15.
On Tuesday, June 16 we will have our 8th grade slide show.

End of Year Behavior
As the school year comes to an end, we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for a successful and productive year. While the end of the year is a time to celebrate our achievements we must remember to follow our building behavioral expectations.
Our Wolverine Ways expectations of Being Ready, Being Respectful, Being Responsible and Being Safe still apply while in school and on school trips. We expect our students to make good choices and end the year with a positive attitude. Please speak with your student about making good choices and consequences they might face if they choose to disrupt the learning environment. To maintain the safety of our students, there will be NO BACKPACKS, BAGS, etc allowed in the building on the last day of school, June 16, 2015. All students and bags will be checked as they enter the building the last week of school. All lockers will be cleaned out by the end of the day on Friday, June 12, 2015. There will be no locker use for the last days of school. By working together we can keep our students safe and the building orderly.
Book Fines/Lost Books
Letters will be mailed home regarding book fines, lost books or damaged books with the report card. The office will be open June 17-June 24 from 9:00 am-2:00 pm for fines to be paid. If a fine is not paid, we will not issue a schedule on schedule pick-up/picture day in September. Please contact the Front Office at (586) 439-4403 if you have any questions.
Please be sure your student has an updated physical for the 2015-2016 school year. A student must have a current physical on file to try-out and participate on our sports teams. A current physical is one that occurred after April 15, 2015. Most students who participated in a sport this school year must get a new physical. Don’t miss out on try-outs because of a physical. Football, Volleyball and Cheerleading try-outs will be held the first week of school. More information about our fall sports will be in the newsletter mailed home over the summer.
