A MESSAGE FROM MR. COLE
Hello Pine Road Families!
Welcome to December! While I am sure it was very different than usual, I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving. November seemed to go by like a flash. I hope that you have had the opportunity to meet or talk with your child’s teacher and have a good idea of how your student is doing with their school progress.
With our return to in-person learning under the newest guidelines from PDE, an accurate accounting of learners physically present in our buildings is more important than ever. Please remember to utilize the Pine Road Attendance Form to indicate changes in learning location. If your Hybrid learner will be attending virtually during an assigned in-person day please indicate that on the form. If you know in advance that your hybrid learner will be virtual, please also communicate that to the classroom teacher so they can plan accordingly. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
The safety of our students, staff, and families continues to be of the utmost importance. As a reminder, when entering the building, EVERYONE must wear a mask. Also, when picking up or dropping off either in the walker or car line, please make sure you keep a 6 ft. distance and wear a mask. Finally, please refrain from playing on the playground equipment during the school day or dismissal as these areas are off-limits.
All of our winter musical performances will take place virtually this year. They will be hosted on the district website. On Wednesday, Dec. 23rd, the PR Chorus will share their performances, and on Thursday, January 21st the band and orchestra will release their performances. We hope you enjoy the fantastic work of our talented students! More information will follow.
As a side note, the cold weather has arrived! As we transition back to hybrid learning, please be sure that your children come to school prepared to go outside for their recess. Students WILL be going outside as often as possible. Students will not be allowed to stay indoors because they are not properly dressed, so please have coats, hats, and gloves ready!
Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Scott Cole
Principal

Virtual / Hybrid Learning
Dear Parents, as the holiday season draws near we will soon begin collecting for group teacher gifts as we do each year. Please remember this is a completely voluntary option designed to make your lives easier! PTA does not directly collect for the gifts, however, our helpful homeroom parents usually spearhead the communication and coordinate with another volunteer in the room to collect. If you have not already been contacted by your homeroom parent and wish to participate, please feel free to reach out to pineroadpta@gmail.com and we will get you the appropriate contact info.
Thank you,
