What Will We Be Learning This Week??
Writing: We will write realistic fiction stories, revise, and edit.
Phonics/Grammar: We will practice with long vowel sounds and articles.
Math: We will solve one-step and multi-step word problems involving addition and subtraction with numbers to 1,000 using a variety of strategies. We will generate and solve problem situations for a given mathematical number sentence.
Social Studies: We will identify the significance of various ethnic and/or cultural celebrations through listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Science: We will distinguish between natural and manmade resources.
Important Dates:
- November 23rd-27th - THANKSGIVING BREAK
- December 2nd - College Shirt Day and Library Pickup (11:00-1:00)
- December 9th - Commitment forms for Face to Face learners for 3rd 9 weeks due.
Reminder for COVID/THANKSGIVING BREAK
Parents, please remember to follow social distancing during the Thanksgiving Holiday. If your child tests positive over the break, or you are made aware that they have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please email Mrs. Kastrounis at ckastrounis@coppellisd.com. If your child is having any COVID-like symptoms, please do not send them back to school on Monday, November 30.
COVID-like symptoms:
- Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100 degrees Fahrenheit
- Loss of taste or smell
- Cough
- Difficulty breathing
- Shortness of breath
- Headache
- Chills
- Sore throat
- Shaking or exaggerated shivering
- Significant muscle pain or ache
- Diarrhea
