Oktober Fiesta-UPDATES BELOW
Shirts
Every year our Fiesta shirts are sponsored by local businesses. Our sponsors this year are: Garcia Farms, Pestmaster Services, Premier Automotive, Trudos, and Zesch & Pickett Insurance. Thanks to these generous sponsors every student at ACS will receive a Fiesta t-shirt! These t-shirts can be worn on Fridays.
Shirts are being sent home today! Extras will be available for purchase in the office for $10/each.
Volunteering
Parents are required (per the parent/student handbook and tuition contract) to volunteer 4 hours during Oktober Fiesta weekend. Because Oktober Fiesta will not take place in person this year the Fiesta committee has voted to allow parents to "buy out" their volunteer hours.

FACTS
Lunch
Many children bring food at lunch time that needs warming up. It takes about 2 to 3 minutes per child to warm up food. This year students are eating lunch in the classrooms and there is only 1 microwave per building, meaning 4 classes will share the microwave.
Please be aware of this while packing your child's lunch! Thank you!
After School Care Pick Up
3K-K M-F, 3:15-5:30, please go through gate in the playground area. It will be the first door on the left if they are not outside. Please do not enter the building.
1st – 8th M-F, 3:30-5:30, in the cafeteria. Pick up will be at the cafeteria door facing the courtyard/office, please do not enter the building.
Middle School Athletics
Middle school athletics will be at the ACS campus until further notice. They will dismiss at 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
All Middle School students will need to wear the athletics uniform this year. Please contact Coach Stroud with any questions regarding the athletics uniform: jstroud@angelocatholicschool.org
Attention Second Grade Families
In our diocese, second grade students prepare for their First Holy Communion. ACS will prepare your student, but it is the responsibility of the Parish to certify; therefore, ensure you have registered with your parish and are fulfilling all their requirements, so your child can receive his/her First Holy Communion this Spring. Each parish may have different criteria, so it is important to discuss this with the parish CRE/DRE or priest.
Sacraments
New Family Referral Program
Tuition credits will be applied to the referring family’s account and the newly enrolled family's account after the new student has attended school for one year.
To take advantage of this program be sure to contact the office with the names of families you have referred within 2 weeks of their enrollment. *These families will not be contacted by the ACS office (unless specifically requested), this step is simply to ensure that we have record of your referrals to properly award the tuition credit.
Mass
School mass will resume on Wednesday, August 26. Until further notice masses are closed to the public.
Vocation Crosses
Each week a special blessing will be given to the students
with whom the Vocation Crosses will go home. Please check
the instructions in the bag and begin praying for Vocations
during the regular family prayer time.
Rosary with ACS Students
Come pray the Rosary every Friday except first Friday at
12:10 PM in the Holy Angels Church. On first Friday of the
month, they pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Everyone is
welcome to join us!
**Please note that the school wide rosary is on hold at this time. Students will still be praying the rosary from their classrooms.

Coronavirus Prayer, Diocese of San Angelo
Almighty and ever-living God,
we turn to you in this hour of urgent need.
We depend completely on you.
We humbly beg you
to pour out your mercy on us all.
Purify our hearts.
Turn us from fear to deeper faith.
Make us more aware of your nearness
in the midst of our pain.
For those who are ill now,
bring patience and healing.
For those searching for a remedy,
guide them by the light of your Holy Spirit.
For medical caregivers helping the sick,
strengthen and protect them.
For those working to eradicate this scourge,
grant them success.
For those who are anxious and afraid,
give them peace.
For all who have died from this disease,
have mercy on their souls.
May your infinite power
be our defense and our salvation.
We ask you this through Christ out Lord.
Amen.
