5Essentials - Thank You!
Hooray! We exceeded our quota for participation in this year’s Five Essentials Survey and have almost met our 50% goal - Thank You! Meeting this quota gives us the points needed for the state accountability system and it allows us to receive a detailed report of survey results. The survey gives us a helpful data point on school culture across our stakeholder groups – which we can use to improve systems and programs. It is not too late to help us meet our 50% goal. Parents may use THIS 5Essentials LINK to take the survey before March 11, 2022.

Volunteers Needed: State Testing Treat Bags
State mandated testing is not fun, but the PTO is hoping to make it a little sweeter for our students. The PTO Executive Board is looking for 10-15 volunteers to help us make treat bags for our 3rd - 8th graders taking the IAR test next week. We will be making them this Friday from 8 am - 10 am. Please contact Beth, Kate, or email PTO@ogschool.org, if you’re able to help.

Beginning Band: This week’s focus is rhythm and pages 11-12 in Band. Students will have their next playing assessment with #49 “Hey Ho, Nobody’s Home”. We will also have a rhythm sheet assignment that will be due next Tuesday/Wednesday depending on full band days.
Concert/Symphonic Band: Happy Concert Week! Call time for warm-ups is 6 p.m. in our rehearsal spaces. Attire is “Dress Your Best”, please no jeans or athletic wear.
There will be no Concert Band rehearsal on Thursday morning. Symphonic Band rehearsal will remain as scheduled on a tentative basis.
Symphonic Band only: Musicians will need their flip folders for rehearsal starting tomorrow. It would be appreciated if “Where is your flip folder?” was asked at home.
Solo/Ensemble Soloists: Soloists will have time to rehearse with their accompanist on Thursday morning during regular rehearsal time starting at 7 a.m. We will be coming out with exact times for that morning by Wednesday at the latest. The only exception are students emailed by Mr. Jones.
Jazz: This Friday we are back to our regularly scheduled rehearsal. Woohoo!
Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee
