Engage. Inspire. Empower.
Lawrence Limelight
Hinkle Creek Parents and Friends,
We have had a good start to the month of November. The students and teachers are working hard and learning together. We are looking forward to several really strong and effective instructional days over the next several weeks. This is a good stretch for learning before the Winter Break. Thank you parents for having your student (s) prepared every day for school. We appreciate it!
Fueled For School Food Drive:
Thank you to all who have donated cans of ravioli and boxes of mac n cheese. We really appreciate your generosity towards others. Your donation helps prepare weekend meal packs for Noblesville students. Thank you for showing how much you care, Hinkle Creek!
Cancellations:
Because of our continued COVID concerns and safety protocols, we need to cancel two upcoming school events. Unfortunately, we will not be able to host our Fall Family Dinner (Nov. 18) or our Kindergarten Grandparent’s Day (Nov. 19). Both events have been canceled and will not be rescheduled.
eLearning Days:
Our school appreciates our eLearning Days as they help our teachers gain professional development. Thank you parents for understanding and giving our teachers eLearning Days to become better teachers. And just for your planning purposes, the following is a list of future eLearning Days scheduled for this school year:
Jan. 10, Feb. 9, and March 2.
Veteran’s Day Video Celebration:
Again this year, we will be developing a wonderful Veterans’ Day video tribute to honor these amazing people. We are asking all parents to send us a digital picture of a family member or family friend who is serving or served in the military. Please send the picture to melissa_mcdaniel@nobl.k12.in.us In addition, please include the name of the veteran, and the branch of service. Thank you for helping us pay tribute to our wonderful veterans!
Sincerely,
Jack Lawrence; Principal at Hinkle Creek
Our school is participating in a creative fundraiser with Art to Remember that allows you to purchase keepsake products customized with your child's art. There are over 60 products and many are less than $15. These make great gifts and a percentage of every purchase goes right back to our school. Click on the link below and enter the online order code shown on your child's order form or to search for your child's artwork. Then, have fun shopping! (There are some samples of different items inside the main doors of HC if you would like to take a peek at them.) If you have questions, please contact the art teacher Mrs. Ritchie at lori_ritchie@nobl.k12.in.us

From the cafeteria:
Last Minute Menu Changes
The national food, product and trucking shortages that are impacting stores and restaurants are also impacting our school cafeteria operations.
These shortages can cause our menus to change unexpectedly at the last minute at any specific school and some students have expressed tears, frustration, and anger at these changes.
Please know that we are doing what we can to provide meal options as planned, but families should expect occasional disruptions.
Thank you for your patience as we work to best serve you.
