School Day - 8:05AM - 3:05PM

Doors Open - 7:55AM

Tardy Bell - 8:05AM

Greeting Eastridge Families,

Next week is College GO Week in Warren Township! College Go Week is dedicated to helping students find the right college or career that fits their personality and interests by providing information and opportunities to explore and plan for education beyond high school. There is a recommended focus for activities at each grade level: Elementary level recommendations focus on college awareness and why college is important. Middle level recommendations focus on high school diplomas, college degrees and career goals. High school level recommendations focus on programs of study, finding the right school/program and the application process. Students and staff will be participating in College GO Week spirit days and discussing college and career opportunities throughout the week. We encourage families to talk about these experiences with their children this week at home.

Parent/Teacher Conference day is set for October 1st, 2019.

Teachers will be sending home confirmation of times for parent teacher conferences. If for some reason you should need to request a different time, please contact your child's teacher to reschedule. Our goal is always 100% participation for our P/T Conferences.

Attendance Matters, Facts Matters, Information Matters

Why attendance matters?

Fact: Missing just 2 days a month means a child misses 10% of the school year.

RESEARCH SHOWS THAT ATTENDANCE IS AN IMPORTANT FACTOR IN STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT.

Students who attend school regularly have been shown to achieve at higher levels than students who do not have regular attendance. Every school day counts in a child's academic life...A missed school day is a lost opportunity for students to learn. The effects of lost school days build up one absence at a time on individual students. Please ensure that your child understands the importance of good school attendance and is at school every day. Every day matters! Every day provides important learning opportunities! Set your child up for success by developing these good habits now!

Attend today. Achieve tomorrow.

Counselor Spotlight

Elementary School Counselors provide education, prevention and intervention activities through school wide initiatives, classroom lessons, small groups and individual counseling. Counselors assist students in their academic, career and social/emotional development and provide support to students during times of transition or heightened stress. As a resource to staff and parents, counselors assist in identifying children's academic and social/emotional needs. Counselors may also provide referrals for additional community support services.

Notes from the Nurse

All medications must be brought to the school by a parent and signed into the clinic. Students are never to transport any medications in a backpack. This includes prescriptions including inhalers, over the counter medication, such as Tylenol, Cough Drops, Motrin, lotions etc.

Lost and Found

There is a continuous Lost & Found table set up in the cafeteria. All clothing items and lunch boxes left outside during recess are sent to the table. Please encourage your child to check the table for their items during lunch. Lost jewelry, glasses and other miscellaneous items will be in the office. Identify them and they are yours again! Please stop by the table during Parent/Teacher conferences. Any items left after October 4th will be donated.
