We Move On From Resilience
To be resilient means, by definition: to recover from, or adjust easily to misfortune or change.
Take for example, a rubber band. If you stretch a rubber band it will always go back to its original shape. It will always return back to the way it was, no matter what happens to it.
What resilience means to me is the lessons we learn from whatever may happen to us, good or bad, big or small.
In school, we, students, are resilient by studying harder when we get a bad grade, trying to do better for the next test or quiz. At home , we see resilience on how we react to a change in curfew.
A great example of resilience who is also a member of the St. Mary Magdalen family is Harley. Harley has suffered with leukemia but continues to fight everyday with a smile on his face. He chooses to continue to be courageous and is setting a great example for all of us.
As Catholics, we embrace resilience through our Faith knowing the fact that God will always be by our side through good and bad.
Please remember to always'' Keep the faith ,the most amazing things in life happen right at the moment you are about to give up hope!''
