Staff Appreciation Week---May 3-7

Staff Appreciation Week is next week, and we are very appreciative for all the "gifts" that have been donated via the BBC...the staff don't know about these yet. I would personally like to thank all of the Bridgewater staff for being so dedicated and passionate in our quest to educate our children to become the best citizens that they can be. Teaching is a more than a job, it is a life choice to serve others. It is incredible to see how much our teachers care about each individual child and work to find ways for them to be successful. Thank you!!

Learnings From Last Week

Last week was a historic week for the state of MN, and people are on all sides of the trial. My takeaway was that we need to always remember to treat everyone with respect and dignity regardless of their race or ethnicity. The character of people is not contained in their skin color, and none of us had the opportunity to choose our race before we were born. Kindness towards others doesn't cost a thing, and I hope to always be kinder than needed in all instances. We have the chance to have courageous conversations with each other, and that starts with valuing all people for who they are, and not judging others based only by their looks on the outside. Our differences and uniqueness make us a stronger community, especially when we work together.

End-of-Year Activities

Just letting you know that we are putting together plans for the end of the year that include the 4th & 5th grade Track & Field Day and 5th Grade Graduation. We will get this information out to you as soon as we get the details pulled together. We want this year to be memorable for more than just the pandemic. We are grateful to have students back in-person so that some things can be normal. Whew!

Summer PLUS
