This is an amazing program, but don’t just take it from me: 89% of students that traveled with EF said they would recommend studying abroad to a friend after their own incredible experience abroad. You can find more information about the program, and what is included by contacting me at altman@kestrelheights.org

Dance with Ms. Harrison
Grades K-2 are finishing their first dance unit with the "Name Dance!" Each student will get a chance to "show-off" their favorite dance move they've created for their name. We all take turns to learn each other's move, and then each class creates its own "Name Dance!" This activity allows each student to share what they've learned during the first 9-weeks.
PE with Coach Hess and Coach Ellis
In our final week before break many of the PE classes have been completing their units that we discussed last week. Students are also being assessed as a way to check their understanding and track what they are learning.

Pre-College Program
We are a STEM pre-college program that is located across the state of North Carolina on four different public university campuses. You have reached the location based at North Carolina State University. The goal of our program is to provide enrichment in science, mathematics, engineering, or technology (STEM) and to prepare students to attend a four-year college/university.
The program partners with school districts to recruit students from underserved populations who have not been prepared to pursue college preparatory level mathematics and science-based courses. Students participate in exciting, uplifting and challenging activities throughout the school year. Please view our Activities and Components section for more details on each component.

The season is over with many athletes shattering their PR's. Thank you to all the parents and teachers who consistently supported our student.
It has been a great season and it is great to see 20 or so kids out running 3-4 days a week for 2 months. I am amazed each day that kids get out and run. It is great to see such a great running community we have in this area that provides such great venues for kids to compete with their running. The kids are already learning a life long sport that will keep them healthy.
