Christingle

Thank you to the parents who kindly sponsored our Christingle service this year. We were able to offer every child in school a Christingle orange, which was wonderful and we are really grateful. Thank you to everyone who attended the service on Monday.

FOSS 100 Club

We are pleased to be able to launch our FOSS ‘100 Club’ in January. This is a joint venture between FOSS and the PTA at Monk Fryston School to raise funds for both organisations – please see the rules for more information. We expect this to be popular and should result in big prizes being awarded each month. Numbers can be purchased from ParentPay now.

Goodbye Mrs Blades and Mrs Rehor

We have been sad to say goodbye to Mrs Blades and Mrs Rehor today. It is the end of an era and Willow won’t be the same without them.

4th January 2023

Don’t forget that school opens to pupils on 4th January 2023.

Thank you!

Thank you for all your cards, gifts and kind messages this week. We hope that everyone connected with our school community enjoys a lovely, peaceful Christmas.

Rotary Shoebox Appeal

Thank you for your help and many thanks to the children and parents taking the time to fill all of the shoeboxes this year. This is a photo from the 641 collected from our region. They have gone to the depot in Preston and then will be going to Albania, Moldova and onto Ukraine.

Happy Christmas to you all from Christine, Wetherby Wharfedale Rotary Club

School Lunches

After Christmas we will be on Week 1 of the New Spring 1 2023 lunches menu.

Children can decide daily whether they are having a school dinner or packed lunch.

Please ensure you discuss the menu each day with your child so they can decide what they would like to order. Once they know their choices, they will choose this each morning with their teacher during registration.

Each day there are 4 choices, either the hot dinner, hot vegetarian option, jacket potato with a choice of toppings or a sandwich. The sandwich and jacket potato always come with a selection of vegetables/salad on the side and have the full pudding choice for that day.

Packed Lunches - if you are sending grapes in your child's packed lunch, can you please ensure that these are cut in half.
