Perch Life Cycle
They start off as eggs and slowly grow. The amount of oxygen they take in primarily depends on the season.
They are primarily a lake fish, and don't live in large flowing bodies of waters. They prefer living in cool waters and clean water as well. As they seasons change they either dive deeper into the water or in shallow waters depends on the season.
Predators of Yellow Perch include larger fish, such as Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Black Crappie, Channel Catfish, Chain Pickerel, Walleye, Bluegill and other sunfish. Birds, including herons, gulls, eagles, hawks, kingfishers, and mergansers eat them as well.
