Facts About Computers!
How does computers work? And who did made the fist computer?

Different Types Of Storage Drives
The Main Storage Drives
What is a USB?
USB stands for Universal Serial Bus. It can storage photos, Documents ect. The disadvantage of the is USB is that it is really small with the possibility of losing it. However, the advantage is that because of its modest size, it's easier to carry around in your pocket.
What is a Floppy Disk?
It was created in 1967 and was really expensive to buy at that time. It’s a flexible magnetic disk which can also store data. It’s also called a Diskette or a Flexible disk. It’s made out of plastic and magnetic materials. The advantage is that you can bring it were ever you are and the disadvantage is that it’s quite big.
HDD
HDD stands for Hard Disk Drive. A hard drive stores every personal information in your computer. It is also coated with magnetic material. A hard drive is the main storage device in your computer. The advantages of the HDD is that hard disks stores data without the need of a constant electricity supply. However, because of its large size, if it's dropped, there's a high chance of it breaking.

Basic Things in Computers
Motherboard
The motherboard is the computer's main circuit board. It's a thin plate that holds the CPU, memory, connectors for the hard drive and optical drives.

Bluetooth card
Sound Card
The sound card, also called an audio card, is responsible for what you hear in the speakers or headphones. Most motherboards have integrated sound, but you can upgrade to a dedicated sound card for higher-quality sound.
Video card
The video card is responsible for what you see on the monitor. Most computers have a GPU (graphics processing unit) built into the motherboard instead of having a separate video card
Network card
The network card allows your computer to communicate over a network and access the Internet. It can either connect with an Ethernet cable or through a wireless connection (often called Wi-Fi). Many motherboards have built-in network connections, and a network card can also be added to an expansion slot.
Ethernet means a type of system
Who is Alan Turing?
Nationality: British
University: Princeto University
Died: 7 June 1954
Cause of death: By Cyanide Poisoning
What did he do?: He was a British scientist and a pioneer in computer science.
What did he developed?: During world war 2, he developed a machine that helped break the German enigma code.
Background story: Turing is widely considered to be the father of theoretical computer science.
Alan was a homosexual in 1952 which was a criminal act in the UK during that period. Alan turing accepted treatment for his sexuality, which would initially change his perspective towards the opposite sexes..
Alan Turing made his own computer to break the German code.
In 1948 Turing joined Max Newsman's computing laboratory at the university of Manchester, where he helped develop the Manchester computers.
Also because Alan Turing was homosexual, he had a choice to be in prison but he chose to have the sexuality treatment. Alan Turing did crack the German code ( he also called his machine Christopher.)
Who is Tim Berners-Lee?
Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web.
Timothy John Berners Lee was born on 8 June 1955 and grew up in London. He studied physics at Oxford University and became a software engineer. Tim Berners-Lee gave his invention for free! In 2001, Tim Berners-Lee became a Fellow of the Royal Society.
