The district celebrates Teacher Appreciation week from May 5-11 and invites everyone to recognize our certificated staff who work hard to teach our students and empower them with a love of learning.
Anacortes prides itself on a high-quality teaching force with deep collaboration and a focus on leveraging relationships to ensure student success. Hear what teachers love about teaching on the district’s Facebook page throughout the week.
Superintendent Mark Wenzel issued a proclamation in support of our teachers and encourages everyone to show their appreciation for all they do to further the district’s mission of inspiring every student every day with quality instruction that promotes creativity, growth, character, individual strength and a lifelong love of learning.
“Teaching is hard work,” said “Wenzel. “As superintendent and as a father of district students, I’m really proud of the quality and care that our teachers commit to every day. We have an incredible staff, and it’s what sets our schools apart.”
