If You Want Students to Improve in Reading and Writing, Let Them Talk!
THE ANSWER: Let them talk! The ones doing the talking are the ones doing the learning.
When we incorporate more opportunities for students to engage in discussions and use the content they are learning, we are creating an environment where students are learning and the teacher is now the facilitator of student learning.
Talking is the KEY to reading and writing improvement.
Below you will find resources for incorporating more discussion into your classroom.
