Supporting the Whole Child
March 2023 - Youth & Family Mental Health
What We Know, Feel, and Do - Matters...
Emotions like fear, sadness, and anger are a basic part of life. However, sometimes adults and children struggle with how to deal with them effectively. School- and community-based support and services are available to those who need help. Please always share concerns about you or your child(ren)'s mental health with your/their doctor or mental health therapist. You can also contact your child(ren)'s school counselor regarding local options for school-aged youth. Want to know more? Read on and plan to attend our upcoming Youth Mental Health First Aid training.
Let's talk about ANXIETY!
Anxiety is a mental health condition that can lead to major health problems if not recognized and treated properly. While not all anxiety is bad, it is important to know that anxiety can serve as a warning sign that the body is off balance. Being in a state of anxiety signals the brain that something is just not right. This short newsletter will shed light on Anxiety and ways that it can be managed.
