It's almost Spring! Did you know that March is Youth Art Month. Each year we get to select student's work to appear in the Youth Art Month (YAM) art exhibit at the Deleplaine Center for the Arts in downtown Frederick. This year we recognized:

Way to go! Your artwork will look stellar stars! Anyone is welcome to view the show during the whole month of March.
Here's what we're studying in Art this Semester:
K: All of the Elements of Art and practicing our motor skills with drawing, painting, and collaging.
1st: Color families, Landscapes and Portraits, overlapping
2nd: Symmetry, Cityscapes, and Seascapes
3rd: Complementary Colors, Focal point, and Value
4th: Proportion and Unity as well as a FCPS Master Artist
5th: Art Principles, and various media
Thank you for tissues and Chlorox wipe donations. We appreciate them and keep 'em coming!
Physical Education
Congratulations CES! We have raised over $16,000 with our Jump Rope for Centerville Event!
What to expect in March:
Kindergarten- Dribbling with hands, Striking a lightweight object with hands
1st Grade- Dribbling with hands, striking a lightweight object with hands.
2nd Grade- Dribbling and passing with hands, Shooting a basketball using B.E.E.F. Striking/ vollying with hands.
3rd Grade-Dribbling and passing with hands, Shooting a basketball using B.E.E.F. Striking/ vollying with hands.
4th Grade- Dribbling and passing with hands, Shooting a basketball using B.E.E.F. Utilizing offensive and defensive skills in game situations. Striking/ vollying with hands.
5th Grade- Dribbling and passing with hands, Shooting a basketball using B.E.E.F. Utilizing offensive and defensive skills in game situations. Striking/ vollying with hands.
To ensure safety in our gym at all-time please make sure that your student wears their sneakers on the days that they have PE.
