Thanksgiving Lunch is Tuesday, November 12:
Visitor Sign-In Procedures For Holiday Lunches:
As a safety and security measure, all visitors and volunteers are required to sign-in using the Raptor system when visiting Seven Hills Elementary. This includes high volume events such as our Thanksgiving Lunch. We have a few processes and tips to help make this as efficient and pleasant as possible for everyone:
- If you have visited Seven Hills this year, and have already had your ID scanned, we can pre-print your visitor badge before the lunches begin. This will help expedite the sign-in process.
- If you have not visited Seven Hills this year AND had your ID scanned, then you will need to have your license scanned upon arrival at the campus. Please make sure you have your ID with you when you arrive. Once your ID has been scanned, your visitor badge will be printed.
- Please arrive early in order to have plenty of time to get signed in and/or pick up visitor badges before lunches. Lunch times are pictured below.
- NEW THIS YEAR! We need your help. We know you RSVP'd for the lunch. This was for the cafeteria to plan for food preparation. We need more specific information in the office in order to expedite the sign-in process. If you are planning on attending the Thanksgiving Lunch or THINK you might attend the Thanksgiving Lunch on Tuesday, November 12, please complete the form below by noon on Monday, November 11, so that we can organize an efficient sign-in process.

Thank you for putting first things first to help us make this event positive and safe for our students, staff and families!
7 Habits at Home...An Opportunity to Learn and Grow Together:
Our school is proud to teach the 7 Habits of Happy Kids to students every year as part of our work to empower learners to be leaders! We believe all students have important strengths to share and we will be learning ways to develop those strengths and skills through a study of different leadership characteristics throughout the year. Each week, we have a Habit of focus in our school and in the classroom. During Habit Huddle and in guidance lessons, we teach the Habit to students. Sometimes the students teach the Habit to each other!
Our goal is to extend the learning to parents by offering opportunities to practice using the 7 Habits at home. Each week, students will bring home activities to be completed as a family. At the end of the activity set is a reflection sheet. When your family returns the reflection sheet indicating that you completed the Habit Activity Pack, you will receive a special recognition on the Habit Boards of Honor in the Cafeteria! You only need to return the reflection sheet...some of the activity pages you will probably want to keep and even hang of your refrigerator as a reminder for everyone to see!
We hope you enjoy learning with and through your leaders! Happy habiting!
This week, Habits 1 and 2 were sent home with students! If your child did not make it home with the packet, no worries! Just click the link below for the Habit 1 and 2 activities!

Campus Reminders:
- The doors to the school will open at 7:20 a.m., and students may go either to the cafeteria to eat breakfast or to their classrooms to begin their day. To ensure student safety, please do not drop students off at school before the doors open at 7:20.
- Our school day begins promptly at 7:40 a.m. Students are expected to be present in their classrooms and ready to begin “Habit Huddle” when the 7:40 tardy bell rings. Any student who is not in their classroom, or arrives after the tardy bell, will be counted tardy. Please encourage your child to be proactive and arrive at school on time.
- The safety and security of students, staff, and visitors is a priority. All visitors must sign-in with the front office using the Raptor system to receive a visitor badge. Any visitor without a badge will be redirected to the front office. All new guests will need to scan their ID the first time they visit this year. We appreciate your patience and understanding with this safety measure.
- Please contact the school office if your child will be absent from school. This helps us verify our overall attendance for the day and properly account for all students. When your child returns to school after an absence, please be sure to send a note explaining the reason for the absence.
