M.E.Ch.A and AVID students have taken two weeks to make in an effort to observe the contributions our Hispanic community has made to our country. You will also notice a bulletin board highlighting our Hispanic Hamilton faculty and staff; together we are all Hamilton.

Prisha Shroff, a sophomore from Arizona, as an esteemed panelist spoke on how she encourages youth to be agents of change & bridge the gap between technology and the future of innovation. Prisha continually searches for answers for problems she encounters in this world like fighting wildfires, climate change & social inequities.

Prisha, a young inventor wishes to BE THE CHANGE SHE WANTS TO SEE IN THE WORLD. She is applying her knowledge of STEAM and coding to create solutions to real world problems. Prisha has begun her journey to reduce impact of climate change by designing solutions such as a water-saving shower head, solar-powered drone and Arduino-based lead detection device. Her passion to save the earth drove her to develop a novel solution, an AI-based Wildfire Prevention, Detection and Suppression System for which she won the 2022 Broadcom Coding with Commitment recognition and Lemelson Award for Invention at the 2021 Broadcom MASTERS competition. As a Chief Science Officer, compassionate Prisha advocates STEAM careers for young women and girls and inspires young people on a global scale, with projects like organizing STEAM workshops in India

Hamilton High junior Megan Burke was named a Girl Scout Gold Award Recipient for her project with a non-profit that helps those battling addiction. Read more about her story here.

Senior Students,

Senior Portraits for the Yearbook will be taken at the GRADS Photography studio. Yearbook images are taken at NO CHARGE. Seniors will NOT be in the yearbook if they are not photographed by GRADS.

Students need to make an appointment asap as the deadline is October 11.

The HHS Boys Golf Team played in the Perry Invitational at Encanterra CC on Sept 15-16 and came away with a convincing win. The boys won the team title by 30 shots over 2nd place Corona del Sol and seven other area schools.

HHS Junior Vinny Cervantes dominated the field with two incredible rounds of 67-64. His 64, which included an eagle on the last hole, ties an all-time school record for low round! All five HHS players finished in the top ten including senior Wyatt Chapman (69-74-2nd place) and freshman Joseph Nelson (74-75-5th place).

The team is currently ranked #2 in the state behind rival Brophy Prep.
