Remotely Control Your Computer
With Chrome Remote Desktop teachers can control their desktop computer with a tablet or smartphone. Think about how beneficial this could be - teachers can be mobile in their classrooms without being restricted to a location near their desktop computer.
Open or Download Chrome Remote Desktop
If you have the new Dell Latitude, go down to the Search bar (Cortana) and search for Chrome Remote Desktop. If you do not have Chrome Remote Desktop installed, you will have to download it. Open Chrome. Visit the Chrome Web Store and search for the Chrome Remote Desktop App. Click the blue button: + ADD TO CHROME. After authorizing the app for the first time, you will be able to install it.
Step 2:
Install Chrome Remote Desktop
Locate the Remote Desktop on your computer. Double-click the file to run the installer. After following the on-screen directions, choose a numeric PIN (Phone Number). After successfully reentering a PIN, you will get a confirmation message stating "Remote connections for this computer have been enabled."
Step 3:
Access Your Host Computer
From a device other than your original computer - Open the Chrome Remote Desktop App. From the list of computers enabled with this app, choose the computer you would like to control. Enter the PIN that you set up on your original computer. Click Connect.
Download the App for tablet or Smartphone:
Step 4:
Access Another Computer
Open the Chrome Remote Desktop App, click the Access button. Enter the access code (different than the PIN), 12 digits long, that is given by the host computer.
