PCMS WEEKLY UPDATE
March 13, 2020
Last week we wrapped up the 3rd quarter of the year and began the 4th quarter this week. Your child's report card was emailed home this afternoon, so check your inbox for these. Also, be sure to check your email as we sent an important message home this afternoon regarding a contingency plan in the event that school needs to be closed when we return from Spring Break. We did send all students home with their Chromebook in case we need to conduct classes online.
Most importantly, we thank you so much in advance for your patience as we work through this unprecedented pandemic. This ever-changing situation calls on us to put plans in place if/when necessary, anticipate changes, take direction from other agencies, and change course as needed. We appreciate all of our students, staff, and parents understanding as we do our best to serve our kids through these challenges.
From all of us at PCMS, have a safe Spring Break!
Congratulations to the PCMS Archery Team on a stellar year! 24 of the original 48 archers have qualified to participate in the virtual State archery competition over spring break. There they hope to qualify for Nationals, which will take place in Salt Lake City in April. Good luck archers!!! #PCMSsharpshooters
61 Pirates were inducted into the 2020-21 PCMS National Junior Honor Society last night! #PCMSproud
Students are enjoyed eating lunch with Ms. Mahnken on Mix-it-Up Day! #PCMSmixesitup

Opt-In for Text Messages!
This is a good time to make sure that you don’t miss any communications from our school or district, as this is often the quickest and easiest way for us to get information out to our families. If you have not been getting text messages from us, please take a moment and text “YES” to 67587.
SaveAround Coupon Books
Thank you to all who purchased and/or helped with selling SaveAround Coupon Books as part of our PTO’s fundraising campaign! This is a win/win for all, as there are some great saving opportunities in the book!
With that being said, we do still have quite a few coupon books that have not been accounted for. If your student has not sold their book or turned it back in to the school, we ask that you send it with them upon their return from Spring Break. (Of course, you are welcome to pay $25 and keep the book for yourself!)
Students who still have their packets and would like to continue to sell during the break may do so. Again, we ask that all monies and unsold books be brought to school upon the students' return.
Have you ordered your yearbook?
You are only a teenager once! Don’t miss out on preserving your student’s middle school memories! The deadline to order the 2019-20 PCMS Yearbook is March 23.
