Arrival/Dismissal
Please be patient and plan for the arrival/dismissal process to take a little longer than in years past. We will be experiencing high car-rider numbers and will be loading our buses in smaller groups. We appreciate your understanding and support!
Grissom Drive is a one-way street going northbound during arrival and dismissal times. Cars are to stay in line while moving alongside the curb on the east side of the street as students are being dropped off or picked up. Cars may not pull in and park on the blacktop next to the sidewalk. Cars can also drop off/pick up along 169th St. (on the south side of the street only). Students can only cross the street by the crossing guard. Please see the Arrival/Dismissal map below. While it's important to keep traffic moving, our first priority is to keep our students safe. Please double check that your child has their Self-Certification form completely filled out and signed by a parent before they exit the car.
Self-Certification
Parents/guardians need to fill out and sign a self-certification form before sending their students to school. Once at school, students will be given a certification booklet to use on subsequent days.
Please click here to access District 140’s Self-Certification form from ksd140.org. This form must be filled out and signed daily. It will be collected by the first point of District contact, (i.e. bus driver, teacher, or paraeducator) at the bus stop or entrance to the school.
In order to keep our doors open, it is imperative that families answer the daily self-certification questions honestly. Please keep your child home if they have a fever or are experiencing symptoms. By working together, we can keep everyone safe and in school.
