ATLAS 7th Grade Students finished their Road to Revolution Tour

ATLAS 7th grade students had a once in a lifetime experience and made history come alive. Their first stop was the Alamo. Students were able to tour the mission that will always be remembered as the site of the Battle of the Alamo during the Texas Revolution in 1836. The group then proceeded to Gonzales, TX the site of "Come and Take It". ATLAS students then continued onto Goliad to tour La Bahia Mission. Day two came quickly and began with the site of the Coleto Creek Battle and ended in San Jacinto Battlegroup State Park. This included tours of the Battleship Texas, San Jacinto Battleground and the Hike and Marsh tour. The final day included visiting the Star of the Republic Museum, Barrington Living History Farm and Independence Hall. Washington on the Brazos was a very engaging experience.
