What are the functions of involuntary muscles?

Involuntary muscles move automatically so you don't have to think to move it, like voluntary. They also contract slowly and rhythmically, unlike voluntary muscles. involuntary muscles also don't tire as quickly.


One disease of the muscular system is Myotonia. This disease is caused by continuing electrical activity of the sarcolemma. Some symptoms is developing in lower body, hands, neck, and face. Also stiffness and tightness in muscles. This could be resolved with exercise.

How does the muscular system interact?

It interacts by helping food moving through your body. Also muscles in the heart and blood vessels force the blood to circulate . Muscles get bigger with you, as you grow.
