Parent Observers in PowerSchool

All students are using the online learning management platform, Canvas, for their high school classes. All of our high school teachers are using Canvas for their classes. Parents are able to join the class as an observer and see their child (and only their child's) academic performance. If you would like to join your child's class as an observer, please email your child's teacher. If you are unsure who to email, you are welcome to email me, (Shea Grosch sgrosch@randolph.k12.nc.us) and I will forward your email to the correct teachers.

For Seniors

Effective in the 2020-2021 school year, two doses of meningococcal conjugate vaccine are

required for North Carolina students. One dose is required for individuals entering

the seventh grade or by 12 years of age. The second booster dose is required for

individuals entering the 12th grade or by 17 years of age, whichever comes first.

The requirement for the second dose is new this year. Please turn in your shot record to the school office as soon as possible. The deadline is September 3, 2020. If you have questions regarding this new requirement, please feel free to call our school nurse, Monica Hurley, at 336-625-1137.

Attendance

Students and parents, please remember we are taking attendance each day. Even all remote students, need to check-in with their teachers and complete their work daily. Students who are only in college courses, still need to complete attendance with Ms. Blackmon each day. It is imperative that every single student communicate with their high school teachers each day.

English I Students

English I notebooks are due this week. If you are an A day student, your notebook is due Tuesday and B day students, your notebooks are due Thursday. Remote students, your notebooks are due Wednesday. Please drop them off at the office.

Math 1 Students

Math 1 students will complete their Passport test on Thursday, September 3rd and Tuesday, September 8th. Passport is a new assessment based on students' 8th grade math knowledge. This assessment will take place during normal class time. Remote students will not be participating in this assessment.

Lunch Options

Students are able to bring their own lunch, order from Randolph County School System or order from RCC's Armadillo Cafe. If a student orders from RCSS Child Nutrition, the food is prepared at Southmont Elementary and delivered to RECHS. Once a student submits their order to Southmont Elementary, the school cafeteria will prepare the order for that student. Students need to commit to that order, and pick up their food once it is ordered. The online ordering forms are below.
