"All Saints Sunday"
...and something else BIG is happening this weekend!?!?
REMEMBERING OUR DEPARTED SAINTS
For those of us in the Church of Jesus Christ, however, TOMORROW is a much bigger day. November 1st is All Saints Day...the occasion we take to remember the "faithful saints of the Church who have gone on before us into glory."
We will observe All Saints Sunday this week in worship...and we are asking for your help!
If you have lost a friend or relative in the past year: (a) we would love to have a picture (with a note regarding your relationship) for the screen and (b) you are invited to bring a personal item (picture, "trinket," etc.) that reminds you of this loved one/friend.
We plan to scroll through the pictures during Holy Communion and you will also be invited to bring your items to the altar at that time.
Please, try to have pictures to us by the end of the day on Friday. We'll do our best to include pictures received on Saturday, but that promises to be a pretty busy day...because...
Saturday is TURKEY DINNER and SILENT AUCTION Day at Prospect!!!
If you still need advance purchase tickets ($1 cheaper than at the door) or have Silent Auction items to bring in, let us know asap.
Of course, if you have not yet invited your friends to join us for an amazing dinner...now is the time to do it!
...and 1 more thing
Today or tomorrow would be great options to do so! ;-)
