Newsletter: End of the Year Message from your School Counselor

Hello SVP Families,

It's hard to believe that this school year has come to an end and we are beginning our summer break. I am so proud of everyone of our students (and parents) for making it through this school year especially with distance learning in place. I know that we wouldn't have been able to get through this without all of your support. We can choose to be upset about missed parties, missed promotion ceremonies, and missed goodbyes or we can focus on the positives. It is all about our mindset and continue to live the 7 Habits; Be Proactive, Begin with the End in Mind, Put First Things First, Think Win Win, Seek First to understand then to be understood, Synergize, Sharpen the Saw. As your school counselor, I work as an advocate in the school to help all children to reach their goals and be happy, healthy, safe, and have a successful school year! I miss you and I look forward to seeing you soon.

Welcome Summer!

I am hoping each and every one of you will all have a fantastic summer that is full of joy, sun, and rest! I know that summer may look a little different in 2020, but that doesn't mean we can't have fun and make memories with our families and don't forget to read. Please see the list of summer safety tips to discuss with your child.

At SVP our goal is to create an environment to promote and support student success.
