Count Down to 2015 Officially Begins!

Can you believe that this is the last official full week of December 2014. Scholars and staff are stepping into the new year with a laser sharp focus on scholar success behaviorally and academically. I am very proud of all the efforts that each one of you have put forth this year and I am looking forward to seeing what the new year holds for everyone. Make this the best last week of 2014 for our scholars and I am quite certain that you will reap the benefits of joyous scholars, days of smiles, and lasting engagement. Have a great week everyone!

QR Codes Anyone?

If you haven't heard, let me share some exciting news coming out of the Science Lab! Mr. Flynn and TOAST scholars have created QR Codes on specific items inside and outside of TOAST that are centered around current ongoing learning targets. Please take a moment and stop by the front lobby across from the front desk and use your phone to scan the QR Code to see exactly what our scholars and Mr. Flynn have been up to!

Don't Ever Forget: You Save People!

As you know, I tend to look for videos that connect to me somehow and I love sharing them with all of you. I often find myself reflecting back on my own education journey and I am always wondering about the "what if's." What if I never had an "unlikely teacher" to champion for me and believe in me? Like all of you, I was fortunate to have at least one "unlikely teacher" who changed my whole mindset and beliefs I had about myself and education. Have you ever wondered if you are that "unlikely teacher" for scholars? I feel confident to say that TOAST has educators that fit that category. What ever you do, don't forget that you do save people! You save scholars and let them know that they WILL SUCCEED! Why? Becuase you were an "unlikely teacher." Enjoy the video below and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
