The Meeks Messenger
2nd Edition, Vol. 19 December 2019
Hey, hey Mustangs!
Don't forget to come by this Thursday, Dec. 19th, to the office at 3PM to meet your secret ornament buddy! It's been so fun to see all the ornaments on the tree! Thanks to the Social Club for putting this together for us! Also, our faculty holiday social is this Thursday at Brooklyn Heights! We will meet around 4:30pm at the Avery Ranch location! We hope to see you there!
Thank you so much for the work you have been doing on your professional goals this year. Let us know what support you need moving into the second part of year by answering a few questions below. If no support is needed, please indicate "none at this time".
The Mid-Year Conference Form takes the place of a required LEADS conference. All teachers on staff are required to fill out this form (on and off-cycle), OR, you will be required to meet with your appraiser during your planning time or after school.
Please have this short form completed by January 6, 2020!
In the spirit of continuous improvement and wanting to reflect on the new year to come, we would like all staff to complete the anonymous survey below in reflection of the administration team. It is our goal to have 100% participation so that all voices are heard. We have had about 45% of our staff complete this survey! We still need 35% more to reach our goal! We want the good, the bad, & the ugly...it's the only way we can grow and better serve YOU! Link to Survey
The window for the 4th Grade Writing CBA2 has been shifted. New date for administration is Feb 5th-7th and Data is due Feb 18th. This will allow for data analysis at the 4th Grade District PLC on Feb 19th.
January is School Board Appreciation Month! The Board member we are assigned to celebrate is Pam Waggoner. If you could have your class write little notes of encouragement and/or thanks, we will present them to Pam at the Board meeting on January 23rd where we will have a short reception to honor our dedicated Board members. Your participation is GREATLY appreciated!
Don't forget to share our story with the world by using #TheGreatestParkside and #1LISD on Twitter! You can also tag our campus @Parkside_ES. Your PLN (Professional Learning Network) wants to learn from you! Y'all have so many great things to share! Enter your Twitter Handle here so we can follow you!
Thank you for all you do!
Maggie, Erin, & Lauren
