WE HAD AN AWESOME THIRD WEEK OF SCHOOL!

I will be holding the Scholastic Book Order open until the end of the Day Monday, September 28th for any last minute orders. Remember that you can either send the paper order to school with payment for the order, or you can simply order online at

  • scholastic.com/readingclub One-Time Class Activation Code: GYJW8

We are working on learning about using an amazing digital portfolio for our school work. It is taking us a bit longer to get acclimated to using our iPads in the classroom. I am hoping that we be ready to use the digital portfolio by the end of this week. When we are ready you will receive a letter to see how you can easily have access to your student's portfolio. You will be able to see "live" work and be able to comment and "like" the work your child adds to their portfolio each day. It is exciting and so much fun! Look for information to come home about "Seesaw the Learning Journal".

OOPs!----Our water bottles did not make it home on Friday. We will send them home for washing on Monday. Please send them back on Tuesday-----Sorry!

We have finished our work on school rules, expectations, and consequences. Please review the behavior expectations document (copy sent by email) with your child. It is important that your child understands that students, parents, and teachers all work together to ensure success at school. Classroom rules help to make sure we can all do our jobs!

First Grade Classroom Directory

Here is the current version of our classroom directory. You can use the directory to send birthday invitations, or to connect with other families from our class. If there are changes to the directory I will revise it here.
