Historic Fall Sports Season Comes To An End
It was a historic season for the fall sports programs at Howell. Our Vikings won a school and GAC South record 8 of a possible 9 conference championships during the fall sports season. The success did not end at the conference level. Our fall programs won 4 District Championships, earned two State Quarterfinal appearances and state finishes of 7th place by Girls Golf, 14th place by our Girls Cross Country program, and a 20th place finish by the Boys Swim program. A school record 31 Vikings were also State Qualifiers this fall with 3 medaling. The fall season also saw many of our programs ranked at the local, state and national level. Congratulations to our student-athletes, staff and parents for the work ethic, support and sacrifices that it takes to make these accomplishments possible.
In upcoming editions of the Viking Insider we will also celebrate our fall all-conference, all-district, all-metro and all-state student-athletes. We look forward to seeing our winter programs build on this success!

Students, Staff & Parents Encouraged To Take Part In #VikingThanks
November is finally here! Even though Thanksgiving is not until the end of the month we would like to fill the entire month full of #VIKINGTHANKS at Howell. Over the course of the next 30 days we invite everyone in our Howell community to take the time to thank at least one person each day that makes Howell such a great place to be. It can be a student, staff member, parent, volunteer, community member or business. We would love to see and share these #VIKINGTHANKS through social media as well. On Twitter you can use #VIKINGTHANKS each day to share the many people you are thankful for. Each day the @FHVikings Twitter account will also be posting a video from one of our Student Leadership Council members thanking someone in our Howell family. We encourage others to create a short video or take a selfie with those in our Howell family that you are thankful for and share it using #VIKINGTHANKS. Each Friday during the month of November we will draw a winner from Twitter that has used the #VIKINGTHANKS hashtag. We hope you will join us and encourage others during the month of November to thank and recognize the many great people who make Howell a great place to be!
