GRAPHIC DESIGN STUDENTS CREATE ARTWORK
Sarah Bennett, a student in the Masters of Public Administration (MPA) program at Claremont Lincoln University and the Director of Sagadahoc County Emergency Management Agency, has reached out to local students for their help to create digital materials to be used in her Master's Capstone Project. The mission of this Capstone Project is to conduct research to examine the unique needs of small, rural communities during extreme temperature events. In her research paper, titled Cooling Small Communities: Access, Barriers and Alternative Solutions for Vulnerable Populations and Local Governments, Ms. Bennett identifies a critical research gap – one that impacts our own communities.
Graphic Design students, Maya Pangburn, Beth Osgood, and Keith Libby have been instrumental in preparing graphics for Sarah's project. Maya Pangburn is responsible for the Cool Zone logo design. Beth Osgood came up with the web banner design and Keith Libby is responsible for digital layout for flyers and promotional materials.
