Ever wonder how to help transitions get better?
Double click on this picture above? This teacher placed a goal on board for the class: "To clean up quickly at a Level 0 in less than 1 minute." Each transition is then recorded (with the help of the class) as either an "Oh YEAH" or "OOPS". What a great idea!
Eastside Elementary School Art Gallery!
Didn't you always want to be an artist? Well, guess what? These students are now being recognized as artists! Nothing builds confidence more than showing student work! This is a great reminder to change your bulletin board and show some great student work.
Place Value Anchor Chart
I saw this anchor chart in Mrs. Freeman's room and had to take a picture. It not only shows some amazing penmanship, but it also shows four different ways to show a number: Standard Form, Word Form, Base Ten Form, and Expanded Form. You might want to duplicate this anchor chart or ask Laura to create another beautiful one just for you! Well done Laura.
If you are struggling with that one student, this is a great challenge. Have you worked on the relationship by finding some common ground? Have you spent any time one-on-one with this student that doesn't involve discipline? Challenge yourself this week to find a new pathway with this student.
