A Message From the Principal...

Hello Owls!

WOW! What a turn out for Homecoming Parade! We had over 100 students and parents come out to walk in the parade with us this past Saturday. It's awesome to have such a strong community supporting us, thank you!

Thanks for participating in Spirit Week this week, too! It was a lot of fun seeing the alien and cowboy costumes, the crazy hair, and the Space Jam apparel! Make sure to follow our Facebook page to check out pics of the students decked out in Spirit Week Gear.

Speaking of apparel, we are approaching the colder months and the mornings are becoming increasingly cooler. Please remember to send students with jackets and gloves! We had some parent requests to allow students in the building before 8 AM to avoid the cold this week: Unfortunately, we can’t accommodate this as we don’t have proper supervision in the building before 8. Our office is just too small and busy in the morning to properly care for students, and teachers are busy getting materials ready for the day.

If students like, they are welcome to come in with me in the building when I arrive, but they will need to follow me back outside where there’s supervision while I work the parking lot.

In other news we have received about 14 surveys from parents. If you have not taken the survey, please do so by clicking the link! I have had a few questions about some of the items—for example, one parent asked me if teachers have common plan time. Teachers do have common plan time with their teams, and we also meet in teams every Monday for early dismissal.

If you have any other questions about how the building is run, feel free to call or email and we’ll be happy to help.

Have a great week!
