8th Annual ECISD Invitational Robotics Tournament
Earlier this month, more than 200 students from around the region showed off their technical skills during the 8th Annual ECISD Invitational Robotics Tournament. The theme this year was "Code 3". Teams had to build a robot that could move police, fire, and medical personnel to the correct areas on the field and contain debris in under two minutes!
The Education Foundation is honored to continue supporting this preliminary practice tournament before the Area 18 state qualifying contest in January. This event started as a grant received by Nanette Kelton at Bonham Middle School eight years ago and with more than $8,000 received in support of the project at our annual fundraiser back in September, the tournament is sure to continue for many more years!
A big thanks to Ms. Kelton for her hard work in getting the tournament ready each year to ensure students from all over the region are ready to compete! We also want to thank our partners at UTPB for allowing the event to be held on their campus each year.
Winter Break
The Education Foundation offices will be closed the week of December 19 - 30, along with ECISD, for the winter break.
Merry Christmas!
