Teacher Appreciation Week May 4-8
Teacher Appreciation Week is this week May 4th-8th. Although we have been away from school for a few weeks, we still want to show our teachers how much we appreciate all their hard work during the school year and this new way of learning. Here are a few ideas of how to say thank you:
Monday Send your child's teacher a note of thanks through email.
Tuesday Make your teacher laugh or smile with a picture or video message.
Wednesday Give your teacher a digital gift card. Amazon has gift cards available as low as $1.
Thursday Share an inspirational song to your teacher. You can send a video link or sing it yourself.
Friday Dress up like your teacher and send him/her a picture to make them laugh or share your favorite memory from the year.
IT'S TIME FOR YOUR MEDICINE!
With our school year ending in this unexpected way, our nurses weren't able to get medications home in the usual route.
Your campus nurses have packed up all remaining medications left at school and want to help you pick them up as easily as possible. We are even having an evening time to help parents' schedules. All of the district's meds will be there, no need to go to multiple campuses for different students.
Not sure if you have any meds to pick up? Emails have gone out to parents with medications still at school so check your emails. No email? No meds to pick up...
We will be using a car pick-up line at the Intermediate Campus. As you pull up, tell us your child's name and their campus. Your nurse will bring you the meds in their package, you will sign for them and you're done! Please, only parents/guardians to pick up the medications. Sorry, no siblings or neighbors. If these dates don't work for you please contact your campus nurse.
LV Intermediate School
Student Belongings Pick Up Coming Soon
Next week teachers will be gathering student materials left in the classroom that would normally be sent home on the last day of school. Materials will be placed in a bag labeled with the student's name.
Parents will have two opportunities on May 18-19 to pick up your child's materials. Pick up will be in the front of the intermediate school off of FM 1431 from 9 am - 11 am and 6 pm-7:00 pm on all 3 days. Parents are asked to pull through the car rider line and give the name of your child to the staff member who will then place your child's bag in the car. For the health and safety of our staff and parents, parents will need to remain in their car and will not be allowed in the building to collect their child's materials. Staff will be wearing gloves and masks during the pick up times. Due to limited storage space and deep cleaning that will occur during the summer months, any materials not picked up on May 19th at 7:00 pm will be recycled.
If your child has a library book that needs to be returned, please bring it during one of the pick up days and we will return it to the library. District IPADS and charging cords may also dropped off.
Online Book Fair is May 1-14
Since our campus wasn't able to have a Spring book fair due to the closure, we are able to have an online book fair! See the flyer below for information on how to participate in the online book fair. This is a great way to stock up on books for your child to read over the summer.
