We enjoyed seeing all the students dressed in their best for school photos this week! Our students seem to be falling into a routine and our after school activities are growing in popularity. Our teachers spent Thursday afternoon engaging in conversations about embedding Social Emotional Learning strategies in their classrooms. If you're curious about these topics which are important for getting students in the right mindset to learn, please peruse some resources found here:

It's hard to believe we are already almost done with September! We appreciate all families' efforts to get students in to school on time, support their learning beyond the school day, and encourage their participation in extracurricular activities. As we fall into the rhythm of the 2019-2020 school year, teachers are working on creating curriculum newsletters they can share out regularly with families so you know what your students are learning and how you can integrate that content into your everyday lives. Stay on the lookout for those!

Drama News

Due to Thursday, September 26th being an early release day, Auditions on Thursday will be directly after the early release from 11:05 - 1:00pm. Any student auditioning this day must secure a ride home. Sorry for any confusion.

We had a great second week at BMS! We are excited to welcome Mr. Cutler as our interim principal. Each grade level attended a class-wide assembly in the auditorium with he and Mrs. Houle where they learned about - or were reminded of - the HAWKS Expectations and some exciting events we are planning for this year. To hear this, and other information about the upcoming school year, please be sure to attend our Meet the Teacher nights next week on either Wednesday or Thursday. To kick our year off in style, we will be hosting a Class Color Spirit Day next Friday. Fourth grade should wear yellow, fifth grade should wear green, sixth grade should wear purple, and seventh grade should wear blue. We couldn't be happier to be off and running for the 2019-2020 school year!
